Pastificio Rey’s origins have deep roots. Founded in 1851 as an artisanal pasta shop in the centre of the small town of San Damiano D'Asti, Pastificio Rey has survived various historical events through its strength, the quality of its pasta and its ability to adapt to changing tastes.
The current factory is located in the heart of the area that was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in June 2014, that is to say the wine-producing hills made up of the Langhe, Monferrato and Roero.
The industrial area of San Damiano D'Asti (AT) is situated close to the historic centre of the town, and is served by every form of primary and secondary urban infrastructure. Pastificio Rey is located in the uppermost part, and occupies an area of about 20,000 square metres.
